As a college student in Boston, Marissa biked everywhere. But back home in Jamestown, she felt like she needed a car to get around, and that was disappointing. When she found Bike Newport, that all changed. First as a volunteer, then as an educator, then a mechanic, now as a full time Bicycle Safety Educator, Marissa found herself learning, sharing and encouraging people of all ages and abilities to gain knowledge and confidence to bike where they want to go. “Bike Newport is such a great asset to our community - we’re building bike culture and bike happiness - for everyone!”
